From “Las Vegas” to “Battle Creek”: Josh Duhamel has joined CBS’ new police drama from David Shore and Vince Gilligan.

In “Battle Creek,” Duhamel will play Detective Milton Chamberlain, the nice-guy FBI special agent from Detroit who teams with Dean Winters’ tough, impatient police detective Russ Agnew to clean up the semi-mean streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.

The drama from Sony Pictures Television and CBS Television Studios has a 13-episode order and is based on a spec originally developed by CBS in 2002. It’s exec produced by creator Gilligan, showrunner Shore, Mark Johnson and director Bryan Singer, who is also helming the pilot.

Other stars include Kal Penn, Janet McTeer, Edward Fordham Jr. and Aubrey Dollar.

Duhamel is repped by ICM, Independent Artists Agency, John Carrabino Management and Viewpoint Inc.
