Jerry Seinfeld Confirms ‘Seinfeld’ Reunion of Sorts

Jerry Seinfeld reunion

Jerry Seinfeld’s “secret project” — the one he alluded to during a Reddit AMA earlier this month — is in fact a reunion of “Seinfeld,” the comedian said today.

Appearing on the “Boomer & Carton” radio show on WFAN on Thursday morning, Seinfeld answered a barrage of questions centered around a photo taken on Jan. 13 of Seinfeld with Jason Alexander, walking into the diner that served as a backdrop for many a “Seinfeld” episode.

Seinfeld said the project was not a commercial or an episode of his hit Web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” and while he would not give away much in the way of details, he did say that Alexander was playing his George Costanza character and that other “Seinfeld” characters were involved.

He described the project as “short-ish form,” a “one-and-done” thing involving Larry David in some way that will be made available “very, very soon.”

This is not, however, the first time the “Seinfeld” gang has reunited since the show completed its run. Seinfeld, Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Michael Richards last appeared together on David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for an episode back in 2009.

It would be good to see a Seinfeld reunion. Til today i watch Seinfeld everyday.
It won’t be a good reunion if the entire cast is not there.

  2. klkitchens says:

This has got to be a Super Bowl spot… nothing more or less.

  3. toons says:

the cast didnt just appear in an episode of “curb”… they were in most of the 7th season making a Seinfeld reunion… multiple episodes… even creating the actual fake reunion in the curb universe…

I’ve really missed Seinfeld…seems like just yesterday it got canceled.

  7. mdj says:

Whatever it turns out to be, hopefully it doesn’t irretrievably suck like that atrocious final episode of the series – possibly the greatest crime ever perpetrated on the American TV viewing public.

    • M says:

yeah, I’m pretty sure the shows like honey boo boo and jersey shore are the “greatest crimes perpetrated on the American TV viewing public” as you put. But saying that anything related to the show “Seinfeld” that is less than utter perfection is just wrong.

    • sean says:

The last episode was not atrocious.

  8. the Wicked Bitch says:

    it’s about time.

It’s all been said and done..spare us mediocrity of trying to recapture an idea long lost in time.

  10. stu Levine says:

I think that we the fans of Seinfeld are owed an explanation as to the day that they are released from prison and go back to being about nothing! LOL

  11. Anthony says:

Get a life. I hate people like you who always complain and try to make people feel bad. I can understand if you pay to read this but its free so chill out and loved how you made a typo correcting him. Love it. I dont mind typos cause I have so many friends who speak multiple languages so maybe you should think about that jerk. No one is perfect. I bet you make mistakes in your job as well.

  12. Brian B. says:

I thin you meant “alluded”, not eluded. Are you a righter or a writer?
