ROME - Italo TV exec Fabrizio Salini is returning into the Fox fold as managing director of FOX International Channels Italy, following a two year stint at Discovery Communications Italy.

Salini, 47, a Rome native with more than two decades of experience in the Italo TV industry, had previously served as Vice President of Entertainment Channels for FIC Italy, between 2003 and 2011. FOX International Channels air on Rupert Murdoch’s Sky Italia paybox in Italy.

In 2011 Salini became Sky Italia head of Entertainment and Cinema Programming. He then left in 2012 to take on a senior management role at smaller but rapidly growing free TV operation Switchover Media which, shortly after his arrival, was acquired by Discovery.

As Managing Director of FIC Italy, Salini will be based in Rome and report to Diego Londoño, FIC’s Executive Vice President of Western and Northern Europe and Chief Operating Officer for Europe & Africa.
