‘Game of Thrones’ Teases ‘The Sight’ Ahead of Season 5

Game of Thrones Three Eyed Raven

Winter is coming, and so is “Game of Thrones” season five. While one will get here much sooner than the other, HBO has devised a way to help us survive the dark days ahead with a mysterious new website: ThreeEyedRaven.com.

The cabler teased the new viral scheme with a short video featuring Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), complete with an ominous voiceover taken from Arya’s first encounter with Melisandre (Carice van Houten) as the The Red Woman notes, “I see a darkness in you.”

Visiting the site will give users the option to receive “The Sight” via text or Twitter direct message (the old gods and the new have apparently joined the 21st century), and after sign-up, the first missive reads “You now have the power of The Sight. Keep watch for visions of the future.” The disclaimer on the website notes you may receive up to 15 messages.

While Arya and her quest for vengeance are the centerpiece of the first video, it’s her brother, Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright), who has been hunting for the Three-Eyed Raven on the show. The two finally came face to face in the season four finale, and the enigmatic old man offered to take Bran under his metaphorical wing, promising that while Bran would never walk again, he could fly instead.

Rumor has it that Bran won’t appear in season five since his storyline has pretty much caught up with George R. R. Martin’s books, but he isn’t the only character who has shown the abilities of a warg — a person who has the ability to enter the minds of animals and control their actions — on the hit series.
