Late last year, A+E Networks announced plans to shutter Bio Network and launch new cabler FYI in its place. Today, FYI made some of its first programming exec hires, as the cable net tapped both Liz Fine and James Bolosh as vice president of development and programming. Pair will report to Gena McCarthy, senior veep of programming at FYI.
“Liz and James are exceptionally talented programming executives that bring a proven track record from across our industry,” said Jana Bennett, prez of FYI and sister net LMN. “Their experience in developing and creating hit shows will be instrumental as we build FYI into a powerful platform. I am absolutely thrilled to have them join the team.”
Fine joins FYI after serving as a co-exec producer for Atlas media Corp and Left/Right, working on reality programs including the “Mob Wives” franchise. Fine has also worked on shows including “Chopped,” “Parking Wars” and “The City.” Bolosh has logged years at networks including HGTV, MTV, VH1 and CNBC.
A+E Networks plans to roll out FYI this summer.
