Jesse Hiestand, longtime spokesman for the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, has become the director of corporate communications for FX Networks and FX Productions in Los Angeles.
Hiestand had been the AMPTP’s director of communications for nearly a decade. His most prominent role during his tenure came during the 100-day Writers Guild of America strike during 2007-08.
Prior to joining the AMPTP, Hiestand worked for the Directors Guild of America in a PR role. He previously worked at The Hollywood Reporter as a labor and legal reporter and for the Los Angeles Daily News.
Hiestand’s last day at the AMPTP was Friday. The AMPTP, which serves as the bargaining arm for the Hollywood production companies, has not yet named a replacement.
