Fox Business To Launch New Deirdre Bolton Program March 31

Fox Business Network will launch “Risk and Reward With Deirdre Bolton” March 31, the latest in a recent series of programming and scheduling tweaks at the 21st Century Fox-owned cable outlet.

The show will air at 1 p.m. weekdays and replace “Markets Now,” which is slated to end its run on Friday, March 28.

Fox Business hired former Bloomberg anchor Bolton in February. The new program will focus on options for investments beyond traditional stocks and bonds, examining such things as venture capital, real estate and hedge funds.

” Alternative investing is an immensely untapped field and Deirdre’s expertise in this area will help broaden our market hours coverage,” said Fox Business exec veep Kevin Magee in a prepared statement.

Bolton joined Bloomberg in 2009. Before that, she worked in institutional equity sales at CDC North America and Société Générale. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in English and French literature, and holds a master’s degree from New York University.

Fox Business has tinkered with its schedule to accommodate a new morning program featuring veteran former CNBC correspondent Maria Bartiromo.
