Former TV Judge Joe Brown Arrested After Court Meltdown

Former television judge Joe Brown was arrested Monday on contempt of court charges and sentenced to five days in jail.

The 66 year-old TV star, who is now running for for the District Attorney General’s office as a Democratic candidate, was in juvenile court for a child support case when he reportedly chastised the judge, threatening to take the matter to a judicial review.

A request for bail has been denied.

He is being held at the Criminal Justice Center in Shelby County, TN.

Brown’s syndicated TV show, “Judge Joe Brown,” was cancelled last year.
