Ready those resumes, fashionistas: E! has partnering with Diane von Furstenberg on a reality competition show centering on the fashion designer’s quest to find a global brand ambassador for her label.

Set to air at the end of this year, “The DVF Project” (working title) promises to give a behind-the-scenes look at von Furstenberg’s empire as she and her team vet a group of ambitious young women. Filmed in New York, the contestants will be seeing jet-setting around the globe to DVF sponsored events, meeting celebrities, working on multi-million dollar campaigns, and producing charity events.

“Diane von Furstenberg is one of fashion’s most innovative designers and a true icon who inspires women to seize opportunities,” said Jeff Olde, E!’s EVP of programming and development. “There is a magical, somewhat ‘Willy Wonka’ aspect to the world Diane wants to create with this show. That is if Willy Wonka were a fabulous, glamorous fashion icon willing to share her secrets with talented young women dedicated to learning them.”

Known in the fashion world for creating the iconic wrap dress and for her elaborate, bold printed materials, von Furstenberg was also a guest judge on “Project Runway All Stars.” She is also known for shepherding young talent, particularly women, having served as president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America since 2006 and working with organizations like the Women in the World Foundation.

“I am so thrilled to partner with E!,” said Diane von Furstenberg, “and to grant young women the opportunity to become the women they want to be!”

“The DVF Project” is produced by Electus and Hud:sun Media. Executive producers are Chris Grant, Michael Rourke, Mioshi Hill, Corie Henson, Lenid Rolov and Diane von Furstenberg.
