CW Casts Melissa Roxburgh As Fem Lead in ‘Supernatural: Bloodlines’

Melissa Roxburgh Cast As Female Lead

After a drawn-out casting process, Melissa Roxburgh has been cast as the female lead in The CW’s “Supernatural” spinoff, “Supernatural: Bloodlines” (previously titled “Tribes”).

Roxburgh, who’s appeared on “Arrow,” is no stranger to the CW family. Like co-stars Nathaniel Buzolic, Sean Faris and Stephen Martines, she’s had a role on “The Vampire Diaries.”

Roxburgh will play Violet, a member of the werewolf pack. Her character is forced to hide her true form because of her forbidden love for family rival David (Bozulic).

Written by Andrew Dabb and directed by Robert Singer, “Bloodlines” revolves around the various mafiosa monster families that run the underbelly of Chicago. They’re being tracked by a hunter who’s trying to rid the city of supernatural beings.

“Bloodlines” will air as an episode of “Supernatural” on April 29.
