Comedy Central Orders Pilot from ‘Happy Endings’ Alums

Brothers Matthew and Daniel Libman have sold their pilot “Duty” to Comedy Central, Variety has learned.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the project follows Kyle, a former football hero (“Ugly Americans'” Mike O’Gorman) forced to take a job at his local police station opposite his childhood best friend (Gil Ozeri, who is known more for on the writing staff of shows “Happy Endings” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”). Laura Steinel (“Draft Day”) plays Kyle’s love interest.

The pilot is written and co-executive produced by the Libmans (“Happy Endings,” “Robot Chicken”) and executive produced by “Happy Endings'” Jamie Tarses and David Caspe.
