Brothers Matthew and Daniel Libman have sold their pilot “Duty” to Comedy Central, Variety has learned.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the project follows Kyle, a former football hero (“Ugly Americans'” Mike O’Gorman) forced to take a job at his local police station opposite his childhood best friend (Gil Ozeri, who is known more for on the writing staff of shows “Happy Endings” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”). Laura Steinel (“Draft Day”) plays Kyle’s love interest.

The pilot is written and co-executive produced by the Libmans (“Happy Endings,” “Robot Chicken”) and executive produced by “Happy Endings'” Jamie Tarses and David Caspe.
