Childrens Hospital Renewed for sixth season

The Web series-turned-Emmy-winning TV show is coming back to Adult Swim.

The live-action comedy from creator/exec producer/star Rob Corddry has been renewed for a sixth season. The season is expected to premiere next year (marking a longer-than-usual break) with filming starting this summer in Los Angeles.

Jonathan Stern and David Wain will return as executive producers-writers. The series follows a group of doctors, their emotional struggles and rollercoaster libidos.

Childrens Hospital” started as a Web series on in 2008 and earned a Webby. The TV show has won the Emmy for special class short-format live-action entertainment program twice.

Regular cast members on past seasons include Ken Marino, Lake Bell, Michael Cera, Megan Mullally, Rob Huebel, Erinn Hayes, Malin Akerman and Henry Winkler. Abominable Pictures, the Corddry Co. and Warner Bros. Television Group’s Studio 2.0 produce. “Childrens Hospital” is distributed by Warner Bros. TV.
