A&E Network has announced a new original series, “Love Prison,” to premiere in September. A seven-episode reality show, “Love Prison” puts online couples who have never met in person on an island where they must spend a week together before choosing whether or not to continue their relationships.

With no access to technology, each couple must spend 23 hours of each day indoors as surprises provide them with information about their partners. At the end of the week, each couple will be picked up from the island via boat and left to decide if their online affairs will become real ones.

Produced by Leftfield Pictures, “Love Prison” is designed to test the strength of relationships online versus in person. It premieres on A&E on Sept. 8 at 10 p.m.

I Met My Boyfriend Online About 2 And A Half Years ago. I was very skeptical about it. Didn’t know if he was real, actually looked like his photos, etc. My mom had worries about me going off to meet someone halfway across the country for obvious reasons. . . Through social media, text, long conversations and short videos we managed to fall in love. I appreciate shows like this. I thought I was the only one crazy enough to take such a big risk. However, reality is I always have that thought in the back of my head. . . If distance wasn’t a factor would or could we actually work? Is he living a double life with a wife and kids? Does He Genuinely Love me Considering How We met? I’m excited to see others story. Wish Mine Could unfold, Go Up against the challenge of being around each other 24-7 especially with me having a son. It would great to know before I’m really I’m too deep! Best of luck to all online couples these relationships possess unique challenges of their own that I’m far too familiar with.
