Keshet International format has been licensed in 25 territories.

HONG KONG — A trio of broadcasters in Asia are to air ABC’s music show “Rising Star US.”

The 10-episode series, produced by Israel’s Keshet Intl., will be broadcast beginning this weekend June 22. It will be hosted by international singer-songwriter Josh Groban, music sensation Kesha, hip-hop artist Ludacris and country music star Brad Paisley on the expert panel. The show is executive produced by Ken Warwick (“American Idol”) and Nicolle Yaron (“The Voice”).

In Asia the show will be carried by Singapore’s MediaCorp on its free to air Channel 5; in Thailand by Bangkok Entertainment on one of its digital channels; and in China as online VoD, via Sohu Video, part of Sohu.com.

MediaCorp Channel 5 will air the show on Monday nights during primetime following the Sunday night U.S. broadcast.

Keshet has closed some 25 international deals on the show’s underlying format “Rising Star,” with broadcasters including the U.K.’s ITV, Germany’s RTL and Brazil’s RedeGlobo.
