’24’ Producers Sell Presidential Drama Script to Fox

Howard Gordon, Manny Coto and Evan Katz are heading back to Washington, as the “24” alums have sold a script for the drama “POTUS” to 20th Century Fox Television for Fox Broadcasting.

The project, which is penned by co-EPs Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves, follows a renegade American president who decides to forgo traditional political practices to play by his own rules.

Gordon (pictured) is exec producing through his Teakwood Lane Production in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Coto and Katz are also exec producing with Katz serving as supervising producer.

Chalsen and Greaves are repped by WME and Kaplan/Perrone. Gordon and Katz are repped by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment and Gendler & Kelly. Coto is repped by WME and Bloom Hergott Diemer Rosenthal LaViolette Feldman Schenkman & Goodman.

    It’ll likely be a love letter to Barry Obola, when or if the Republicans take control of the house AND senate, the Pez will likely be a lovable lib going up against the bully Republicans. Of course there will be an evil conservative radio talk show host (Limbaugh) and an evil 24 hour news network. (FOX News) This show like all the others on FOX will be targeting the lib 18-49 crowd, flyover country and the 50+ crowd be damed.
