Music biz vet Sylvia Rhone has been named president of Sony Music’s Epic Records unit.

Rhone was already working under the Sony Music umbrella with the label, Vested in Culture, she launched in January 2013 as a New York-based joint venture with Epic. She will continue to report to Epic chairman-CEO L.A. Reid.
