Southern rapper Jelly Roll on Tuesday dropped his “Whiskey Sessions” EP, the first release that unites Capitol Records with Pop-Up, the management arm of music licensing and publishing company Jingle Punks.
The partnership between Capitol Records and Jingle Punks reflects artists’ growing desire for built-in marketing capabilities.
Jelly Roll’s country/hip-hop fusion has been featured on programming for the UFC, the NFL and NASCAR, as well as TLC’s “Myrtle Manor.”
The five-song EP is available on iTunes and Spotify. Jelly Roll will release a full-length studio album in 2015.
