Comedian Katt Williams and former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of stealing a camera from a photographer, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.
According to authorities, the men are suspected of stealing a camera from a female independent celebrity photographer on Sept. 5 outside of a Beverly Hills studio and are charged with one count of robbery. Williams was arrested Wednesday morning in Inglewood, and Knight was taken into custody in Las Vegas.
Because both men have lengthy records of past offenses, they could serve serious time if convicted. Knight, who has a previous conviction for assault with a deadly weapon, faces up to 30 years to life in state prison, while Williams could spend up to seven years in custody.
Bail is set at $1 million for Knight and $75,000 for Williams.
The Beverly Hills Police Department is continuing to investigate the case.
