Coldplay’s Chris Martin Joins ‘The Voice’ As Mentor

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin will serve as a key adviser to NBC’s hit reality show “The Voice,” it was announced Tuesday.

Martin will assist the season six competitors as well as coaches Usher, Adam Levine, Shakira and Blake Shelton in their search for the latest musical talent.

He joins previous “Voice” mentors Kelly Clarkson, Alanis Morissette and Cher.

Coldplay’s sixth studio album, “Ghost Stories,” arrives May 19.
