Bill and Hillary Clinton Musical to Make New York Stage Premiere

The Clintons are getting the musical treatment again.

The upcoming New York Musical Theatre Festival will feature the musical “Clinton,” which follows “two Bill Clintons” and Hillary Clinton on a quest to save their presidency, change the nation and prove that “politics is show business for ugly people.”

The show — with music and lyrics by Paul Hodge — runs from July 18-25 at the Pershing Square Signature Center. It premiered at the 2012 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it was nominated for best new musical, and played at London’s King’s Head Theatre the following year.
