Bill Cosby will play Carnegie Hall as part of the 2014 New York Comedy Festival, which boasts a lineup that includes new names to the fest such as Amy Schumer and Nick Offerman as well as festival veterans like Bill Maher.
Other comedians on this year’s roster are Hannibal Buress, Tig Notaro, Marc Maron, Maria Bamford, Carly Aquilino and Chris D’Elia, with further talent still to be set. Launched by Carolines on Broadway founder Caroline Hirsch and now in its 11th year, NYCF runs over five days in November in Gotham venues including the Beacon Theater, Town Hall and the Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Complete lineup will likely include panels and public discussions, such as last year’s events with Stephen Colbert and Larry David, as well as the annual Stand Up for Heroes benefit for the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
Carolines on Broadway produces NYCF in association with Comedy Central. The 2014 edition runs Nov. 5-9, with Cosby set for Carnegie Hall of Nov. 8.
