TrustNordisk Sells 'Here is Harnold' Multiple

PARIS– TrustNordisk has sold Gunnar Vikene’s comedy “Here is Harnold,” to multiple territories.

The Scandi giant presented a 3-minute promo at Cannes and sold the film to Germany (NFP), Japan (Nikkatsu Corporation), Switzerland (Frenetec Films), Czech Republic (Film Europe), Greece (FeelGood Entertainment S.A) and Estonia (Estin Film).

“International distributors have embraced this warm-hearted Norwegian dramedy just like we expected when we picked it up. We can´t wait to find the perfect festival platform for this film once it has finished”, says Rikke Ennis, TrustNordisk CEO.

Based on Frode Grytten’s novel, “Harnold” stars Bjørn Sundquist (“Ragnarok”) as the owner of a small furniture shop who sets out on a quest to kidnap his biggest competitor, the founder of IKEA.

Trustnordisk is pitching the movie as a “humorous road movie about a humiliated man, who is attacked on his professional pride as he sees his business and himself go out of fashion.”

First presented at Goteborg in the work-in-progress session, pic marks Vikene’s 4th feature film. His latest film “Vegas” won a number of festival awards including the Jury Prize at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

“Harnold ” is produced by Maria Ekerhovd and executive produced by Axel Helgeland at Mer Film. Lizette Jonjic and Daniel Andersson from Migma Film, Filmpool Nord and Fuzz co-produced  with support from Norwegian Film Institute and Swedish Film Institute.

Scandinavian distribution is handled by SF Film with domestic release set for October 31st 2014.
