China strips SINA Corp of two

HONG KONG — Two brothers who last year disrupted production of “Transformers 4″ and demanded money, were jailed in Hong Kong on Wednesday.

A district court in Hong Kong heard that the two, Mak Chi-shing and Mak Chi-hang, attempted to extort HK$100,000 (US$12,900) from the production by claiming that it was an inconvenience, and that they then created a disturbance when the ransom was refused.

Mak Chi-shing was jailed for two and a half years on the additional charge of trying to hit director Michael Bay in the face with an air conditioner. Mak Chi-hang was given a six week sentence for resisting police arrest.
