Fans can get a more extended look at the latest take on the popular ’80s and ’90s cartoon “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” in the new trailer for the upcoming Michael Bay film.

While Donatello (Jeremy Howard), Michelangelo (Noel Fisher), Raphael (Alan Ritchson) and Leonardo (Johnny Knoxville) have gone through quite a digital transformation over the years, their mission remains the same: saving the city from danger.

“My sons, I have trained you your whole lives to protect the city above. But I fear you are not ready for its greatest threat,” Tony Shalhoub’s Master Splinter tells the superhero turtles as the clip begins.

As the trailer reveals, the threat is none other than Shredder (William Fichtner), the appropriately-named villain with armed with sharp blades who was the Turtles’ mortal enemy in the TV show.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” bows Aug. 8.
