Sundance Selects has acquired the North American rights to Tom Dolby and Tom Williams’ “Last Weekend.”

The dark comedy follows Celia Green (Patricia Clarkson) and her family as she tries to move forward in her life by letting go of her historic home. The ensemble cast includes Zachary Booth, Chris Mulkey, Joseph Cross, Devon Graye and Jayma Mays.

The film is a co-production of Gran Via Productions, Greyshack Films and Water’s End Productions. Mark Johnson exec produced the film, with Mike S. Ryan producing.

The deal for the film was negotiated by Arianna Bocco, senior vice president of acquisitions & productions for Sundance Selects/IFC Films, with Josh Braun of Submarine Entertainment on behalf of the filmmakers.

Sundance Selects is a sister label to IFC Films and IFC Midnight and is owned and operated by AMC Networks.

“Last Weekend” premiered at this year’s San Francisco Film Festival and will be released theatrically and on VOD later this summer.
