AFM: Scott Glenn’s ‘The Barber’ Bought By ARC Entertainment

ARC Entertainment has acquired all U.S. distribution rights to Chapman Filmed Entertainment’s thriller “The Barber” in a deal worth mid-six figures.

The Little Film Co. is launching international sales at AFM.

The Basel Owies-directed serial-killer thriller, which stars Scott Glenn and Chris Coy, will have both a theatrical and premium VOD release through ARC Entertainment in the spring.

“The Barber” examines a father whose life is destroyed in pursuit of a monster, and a son caught in a deadly charade as he tries to unravel his father’s obsession. Stephen Tobolowsk, Olivia Taylor Dudley and Kristen Hager also star.

The film was directed by the Chapman alumnus from a script by Max Enscoe. Chapman Filmed Entertainment’s Travis Knox produced “The Barber,” while Bob Yari and William Immerman executive produced.

“The Barber” is the first film to originate from Chapman Filmed Entertainment run through Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. The company is designed to produce three to four micro-budget pictures annually.
