The autopsy for Robin Williams is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 12, following the comedic actor’s death on Monday at the age of 63. It’s set to take place at the Marin County Coroner’s Office in San Rafael, Calif.
While the cause of death is believed to be suicide by asphyxiation, he also recently entered a 12-step rehab stint for drug abuse, according to his publicist. His rep said that Williams had been battling depression as of late.
The Oscar winner was found dead in his home after the Marin County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from Williams’ house Monday. He was not breathing when paramedics showed up, and was pronounced dead at 12:02 p.m.
Williams was last seen alive Sunday night by his wife.
