Film Society of Lincoln Center, the Gotham nonprofit that runs the New York Film Festival, has tapped Rob Reiner to receive the org’s 41st annual Chaplin Award.

The multihyphenate will be honored for a body of work that includes helming credits such as “This Is Spinal Tap,” “The Princess Bride,” “Stand by Me,” “When Harry Met Sally…” and “Misery,” as well as  thesping gigs including his roles in TV series “All in the Family” and in current Oscar contender “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

The Chaplin Award, the major annual fundraiser of FSLC, honors the film industry’s most influential talents. Its roster of recipients includes Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, James Stewart, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Catherine Deneuve and, last year, Barbra Streisand.

The 2014 Chaplin gala will be held at Lincoln Center April 28.
