HONG KONG – Richard Roxburgh (“Moulin Rouge,” “Mission: Impossible II”) and Radha Mitchell (“Olympus Has Fallen,” “Silent Hill”) take the lead roles in “Looking for Grace,” an Australian drama now in production under director Sue Brooks (“Japanese Story”).

Involving a lengthy drive across the wheat country of West Australia, the film is a story of a family pulling in different directions after their 15 year old daughter empties the safe and runs away to see her favorite band.

Previously titled “Driving Back From Dubbo,” the film introduces Odessa Young in the role of Grace, a 14-year-old runaway, and sees Mitchell replace the previously announced Miranda Otto.

Producers are Lizzette Atkins, Sue Taylor and Alison Tilson, and executive producers are Antonio and Benjamin Zeccola of Australian distributor Palace Films. Hong Kong’s Fortissimo Films will handle international sales.

Finance partners include Screen West, Screen Australia, Film Victoria, The Melbourne International Film Festival Film Fund and Fulcrum Media Finance.

“’Looking for Grace’ is a story about ordinary people going through some extraordinary moments. Sue Brooks has written a beautiful script that is intriguing, moving and engaging, and which will be brought to the screen by a wonderful cast of fine Australian actors,” said Atkins in a prepared statement.
