Argentina’s Ricardo Darin (“The Secret in Their Eyes”) and Spain’s Javier Camara (“Talk to Her”) will co-star in “Truman,” the latest film from Cesc Gay, one of Spain’s popular auteurs.

Set up with Gay’s regular producer, Marta Esteban’s Barcelona-based Imposible Films, “Truman” is being brought onto the Cannes market by Filmax Intl.

A production-distribution-sales house, Filmax distributed Gay’s “A Gun in Each Hand” in Spain, nursing it to an impressive €1.9 million ($2.7 million). Filmax will also distribute “Truman” in Spain.

Currently in co-production, “Truman” centers on two childhood friends who are reunited after many years; they spend a few unforgettable days together, because their reunion is also their last goodbye.
