Pulse Films has tapped former Summit Entertainment exec Ashley Schlaifer as head of U.S. development and production for the company’s Los-Angeles based division.
Schlaifer will oversee development of a slate of scripted TV and film projects in the U.S and work under CEO Thomas Benski and head of film Lucas Ochoa.
Schlaifer was involved with “Red” and “Now You See Me” at Summit. She went on to work as head of strategic partnerships at the Mobile Audience, working with film studios, TV networks and music labels on reaching consumers through mobile devices.
Nine-year-old Pulse has offices in London, New York, Los Angeles and Paris.
It produced and released “Shut Up and Play the Hits” and produced “Who Is Dayani Cristal?,” starring Gael Garcia Bernal; the Nick Cave documentary “20,000 Days on Earth”; and Edwyn Collins docu “The Possibilities Are Endless,” which premiered last month at South by Southwest.
