The film will be simultaneously unveiled on digital platforms and on DVD through Virgil Films, who acquired all North American digital and home entertainment rights.
“After” is set in 2002 during an Upstate New York winter. The film follows a middle class family facing financial hardship and matriarch Nora (Kathleen Quinlan), whose cheerful exterior masks an emotional fragility. A hidden secret threatens to ruin the family’s delicate balance once revealed.
Pieter Gaspersz will make his feature directorial debut and will produce with Sabrina Gennarino.
“Girl’s Gotta Eat Entertainment and Accretions Films are truly looking forward to this collaboration with Paladin and Virgil Films on our first endeavor. We couldn’t be more excited to have such an excellent team whose expertise has a proven track record,” said Gaspersz and Gennarino in a statement.
