Sullivan Stapleton in '300: Rise of

HONG KONG — Australian actor Sullivan Stapleton was injured in Bangkok, Thailand, where he was filming TV series “Strike Back.”

The injury occurred during the 36-year-old thesp’s free time and was not directly connected to the production, which began on 27 Jan in Thailand with locations including Bangkok and coastal resort Krabi.

In a statement provided to media, Stapleton’s publicist said that he was “resting comfortably and on his way to a full recovery.” “Strike Back is an HBO/Cinemax series with Sky and Left Bank Pictures as producers.

The remaining filming of “Strike Back” in Thailand will continue for the moment, but other production in Hungary has been rescheduled to October because of the injury.

Stapleton next appears in Legendary Pictures/Warner Bros’ “300: Rise of an Empire” (pictured). Promotional activities may be disrupted. It is not yet clear whether the broadcast schedule of “Strike Back” will have to be altered.
