New ‘Annie’ Teaser Trailer Unveiled (VIDEO)

The wait for the first clip of the upcoming “Annie” movie musical remake is over.

A thirty-second teaser trailer and preliminary movie poster were released Wednesday, providing a glimpse of young actress Quvenzhane Wallis in the title role, Jamie Foxx as Benjamin “Daddy Warbucks” Sacks and Cameron Diaz playing the villainous Miss Hannigan.

The new trailer features brief snippets of Wallis singing well-known “Annie” tunes including “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life.”

The new take on “Annie” is a modern-day version of the stage musical set in New York City. The project was penned by Emma Thompson and Aline Brosh McKenna and helmed by Will Gluck.

“Annie” is set to bow in theaters Dec. 19.

Well then if ” “Annie” is a modern-day version of the stage musical” (which it is)then it isn’t a remake is it. If it isn’t an update of the FILM, if it isn’t based on the FILM’s screenplay etc. it is a new adaptation. Robocop is a remake, this , according o your own description, isn’t.
