MovieTickets.com will sell tickets for Studio Movie Grill’s 181 screens, the new partners said Tuesday.
Headquartered in Dallas, Studio Movie Grill has banked on the growing popularity of in-theater dining to fuel its expansion into 17 locations across seven states. The company is currently planning its first Florida location, a 14-screen complex in Tampa, slated to open later this year.
In addition to full-service food and drinks, Studio Movie Grill also boasts reserved seating.
“Adding the fast-growing national circuit Studio Movie Grill to our ticketing platforms is valuable to our company,” Joel Cohen, CEO of MovieTickets.com, said in a statement. “SMG’s ideas on innovating the ‘dinner and a movie’ concept have been cutting edge.”
MovieTickets.com offers advance movie ticketing for more than 250 theater chains across 22 countries and territories, including the U.S., the U.K., Spain and the Caribbean.
