Steve Longi’s Longitude Entertainment is launching a live production division to produce comedy features and specials — starting with performances by stand-up comedian Willie Barcena.

The comedy concert film will be shot Feb. 14 and 15 at the The El Paso Comedy Strip in El Paso, Tex. Barcena, who grew up in East Los Angeles, has performed one-hour specials “I Gotta Be Honest” for Showtime and “Deal with It” for Comedy Central.

Longi will produce with Barcena and Matthew Spain. Gilbert Jorgenson and Joe Lawless will exec produce.

Longi co-produced “Youth in Revolt,” starring Michael Cera and Zach Galifianakas, and “Charlie Bartlett,” starring Anton Yelchin, Kat Dennings and Robert Downey Jr.

Roger Paul negotiated the deal for Barcena.
