PARIS– French thesp Lambert Wilson has been tapped to host the opening and closing ceremonies of Cannes Film Festival.
Wilson, a popular actor whose credits include Alain Resnais’ “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” and Xavier Beauvois’ “Of Gods And Men,” will succeed to last year’s Audrey Tautou.
As previously announced, the jury of the competition will be presided by critically-aclaimed New Zealand filmmaker Jane Campion.
The official selection will be unveiled by Cannes’ general delegate Thierry Fremaux and prexy Gilles Jacob on April 17.
Cannes Intl. Film Festival will take place May 14-25.
