Ryan Kavanaugh’s Relatively Media is working on a movie about iconic business magnate John D. Rockefeller and has attached Lasse Hallstrom to direct.

Matt Alvarez and Robert Kravis are producing and “Dallas Buyers Club” screenwriter Craig Borten has been tapped to adapt Ron Chernow’s 1998 book “Titan: The Life of John D. Rockefeller Sr.”

Rockefeller co-founded Standard Oil Co. in 1870, revolutionizing the oil industry. The world’s first billionaire ultimately gave away most of his fortune.

Relativity’s Tucker Tooley and production president Robbie Brenner are overseeing. Brenner and Rachel Winter produced “Dallas Buyers Club.”

Hallstrom’s credits include “My Life as a Dog” and “Cider House Rules.”

Hallstrom and Borten are repped by UTA.
