LONDON — Tate Taylor’s James Brown biopic “Get On Up” will open the Zurich Film Festival, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

Taylor and Chadwick Boseman, who plays the singer, will be in Zurich to attend the premiere.

The film, which follows the soul musician’s rise from poverty to stardom, also stars Octavia Spencer. The cast also includes Dan Aykroyd, Viola Davis and Lennie James.

Taylor previously attended the fest with “The Help,” which was the closing film in 2011.

  1. I fell in love with the Actor Chadwick Boseman who did a superb job playing the Godfather of Soul. I saw
the movie 15 times. Chadwick Boseman danced like James Brown to the point you thought it really was
James Brown performing. Mr. Boseman I would like to meet you one day in person and express how proud I am of you. God has truly deposited a great gift in you. Please don’t take your gift lightly. Your
acting comes across very natural. You did your part seemingly effortlessly. You are a true actor.
