    Wouldn’t it be great if a black director could direct a film that wasn’t about race? I’m sure it would be very refreshing for black actors not to have to continually perform in some sort of race based scenario or another to be taken seriously. Blanchett and Streep and the like get to play a wide spectrum of characters because the stories they’re in span a wide range of the human experience. Why do black directors feel race is the only thing they are qualified to talk about? It’s truly sad.
