Heretic Films Taps Sarah Scougal as VP of Development and Production

Heretic Films, the finance and production company founded by Burton Ritchie and Ben Galecki, has tapped Sarah Scougal as VP, development and production.

Previously based in London, Scougal has worked for Working Title, Sprout Pictures and Vertigo Films.

Heretic’s upcoming slate includes Kevin Pollak’s directorial debut “Misery Loves Comedy,” “Welcome to Me” starring Kristen Stewart and “Big Significant Things,” which will bow at this year’s SXSW Festival.

It also saw “Low Down” premiere at Sundance and “Copenhagen” bow at this year’s Slamdance Film Festival.
