Ant-Man Paul Rudd

With production under way on “Ant-Man” in San Francisco, Marvel Studios has released the first photo of Paul Rudd in character in the film.

Rudd plays conman Scott Lang who must help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his Ant-Man suit, which gives the ability to shrink in scale and increase his strength. Using the suit, the two plan to pull off a heist that will save the world.

Marvel started principal photography Aug. 19 in San Francisco with Peyton Reed at the helm. Much of the film will shoot in Atlanta.

Poor Paul. He looks like a dork.

    What the what??

“will be the first time one of Marvel Comics’ original founding members of the Avengers is introduced on the bigscreen. ”

WHAT? Iron MAn, Thor AND Hulk are ALL founding members of the Avengers in the comics and ALL have had their own individual Marvel Studios films. (The Hulk has even had a non-Marvel film with ?Universal’s Hulk in 2003) So I don’t know what this is referring to at all? Only other founding member is Wasp, but we’ll have to wait for her…

You omitted « Ant Man » and the commas in your quote. Changes all the meaning.
« will be the first time Ant-Man, one of Marvel Comics’ original founding members of the Avengers, is introduced on the bigscreen. »

If the director spites everything Wright had done up until this point, looking to outdo Guardians of the Galaxy, then he can sink but he’s not taking the Marvel ship with him. Disney makes him flinch and dude will back up. Guaranteed. >.<

  4. Jacques Strappe says:

I’m actually looking forward to this film. Paul Rudd typically plays the low key character ito whom bad things happen in most comedies. Is ant-man too powerful for even a can of Raid or the Orkin man?

  5. Mike Sitz says:

Your title is a little purposely misleading isn’t it?? We can go anywhere on the web to see an image of just Paul Rudd. Unless the hood is part of his costume?

  6. Steve says:

Weird. Ant-man looks enormous next to that bridge.
