Film Movement Moves On ‘Human Capital’ Ahead of Tribeca Festival Screening

Film Movement Moves On 'Human Capital'

New York distributor Film Movement has picked up “Human Capital,” Paolo Virzi’s thriller starring a cast that includes Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and Valeria Golino.

Pic is about to have its North American premiere as part of the Tribeca Film Festival, following the film’s release in Italy earlier this year. After the Tribeca screening April 18 and a run on the domestic fest circuit, “Human Capital” targets an early 2015 theatrical release followed by VOD and home vid.

Told in a nonlinear fashion, the movie kicks off with an SUV running a cyclist off the road, and then spirals backwards to reveal the events that led up to incident. Fabrizio Bentivoglio also stars.

The North American distribution deal was pacted by Film Movement co-president Adley Gartenstein with BAC Films’ Gilles Sousa.

“Human Capital” joins a Film Movement slate that also includes “To Kill a Man,” “1,000 Times Good Night” and “The Dark Valley.”
