WELL, YOU NEVER KNOW. TRAVOLTA DID SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, AND GOT A DISMAL REVIEW FROM VARIETY. BUT THE PUBLIC MADE HIM A MOVIE STAR OVERNIGHT.

A PRIME EXAMPLE OF WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT IS DAVID CARRUSO LEAVING .NYPD BLUE JUST AFTER ONE GOOD SEASON. HIS MOVIE CHOICES WERE DISMAL, AND HE DIDN’T RECOVER FOR A DECADE, AND WENT BACK TO TELEVISION

I remember Carusso leaving NYPD Blue….which became a hit series. Then he came back to do CSI Miami for several years…..also…Seinfeld….seems that Julia Louise-Dreyfus was the only one to make it after that show…she is now on Veep on hbo.
I hated to see Dan Stevens leave D Abbey. He may wish he had not ..depending on how his films
are received. It is difficult to get used to seeing “Matthew” with a gun…what would Lady Mary say???
      LOL

ha. Like Shelley Long before him, probably not the best decision to leave a top-rating TV show for the movies, as I’m sure we’ll all soon discover…

  3. mary says:

Loved Dan Stevens on Downton Abbey…..hated to see his great character leave at the end of season three. I see he lives in the US right now. Looking forward to this film and one in June…..I believe it is called…Summer in February ?????
