Ellen DeGeneres Interrupted by Orchestra in New Oscars Promo

Countless Oscar winners have been cut short during heartfelt acceptance speeches, so it’s only fair Ellen DeGeneres learns how it feels.

In a new 15-second promo for the March 2 Academy Awards, which DeGeneres is hosting, the talk show personality began to thank the Academy before being interrupted by music, the Oscar’s infamous way of saying “wrap it up.”

This isn’t the first of her build-up for the Oscars: A full-blown trailer, complete with DeGeneres in suit and bow-tie, was released last month. She’s also been tweeting promotional photos to lead up to the night.

It will mark DeGeneres’ second time hosting the Academy Awards, after she earned an Emmy nomination for hosting them in 2007. Her hosting gig brought in some of the biggest ratings for key demographics in the past few years. She takes the reigns back from Seth Macfarlane, who led the evening last year.
