Egypt Bans Ridley Scott’s ‘Exodus’ Over ‘Historical Inaccuracies’

exodus gods and kings

Egypt has banned Christian Bale’s “Exodus: Gods and Kings” a week before its planned New Year’s Eve release, according to 20th Century Fox.

A report from the Egyptian site Mobtada said censors issued the ban due to movie’s “historical inaccuracies.”

Those included the film’s depiction of Jews as having built the Pyramids and the Biblical story of a miracle by Moses causing the Red Sea to part so that the Jewish people could escape from the pursuing Egyptian army.

Egyptian cultural minister Gaber Asfour said the depiction of Jewish slaves as being the builders of the Great Sphinx and Pyramids is inaccurate because the monuments are accepted to have been built around 2540 B.C. — 500 years before Abraham, the father of Judaism.

“This totally contradicts proven historical facts,” Asfour said.

“It is a Zionist film,” he said. “It gives a Zionist view of history and contains historical inaccuracies, and that’s why we have decided to ban it.”

Ridley Scott’s movie, based on the Bible’s Book of Exodus, stars Bale as Moses and Joel Edgerton as the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses.

“Exodus” has grossed nearly $46 million in its first two weeks in the U.S. and another $62 million from 39 international markets.

Earlier this year, Egypt banned another Biblical epic, “Noah,” asserting it violated Islam by portraying a prophet.

  1. They are correct by saying no jew built the pyramids, u cant even find no such history in Egypt. But also the Arab failed to mention that he didn’t build them either. He is an invader to Egypt. He got there in the 6 century a.d. he had nothing to do with the pyramids either. African people and only African people built the pyramids!

    • Dziri says:

There was only a small number of Arabs in Egypt and you could say the same thing about all North Africa. The egyptian people evolved like other people in the world. They adopted the arabic language, most of them became muslims but it’s the same people. And remember that in ancient times the word Africa was the name of only a part of North Africa.

  2. Bob Smith says:

Good for them, but the Egyptians are not banning it for the right reasons, because they’re inaccurate too, and their government shouldn’t have this kind of power to limit which movies people can see; however, the movie is inaccurate, according to the Bible, which can be accepted as fact or fiction, depending on your beliefs. (Even if you don’t believe in it, the Bible contains wonderful storytelling.)

The counterargument is that it’s an interpretation, but it makes really stupid, aggravating choices (God as an annoying child, no proper splitting of the Red Sea, etc). I could go on and on, but in short, the most powerful moments of this amazing Biblical epic are ruined in this film.

By banning this movie, it spares people in a predominantly poor country, from wasting their limited funds on a really awful movie, even if it’s not for the right reasons.

  3. Not all Israelites are “Jews”, in ancient Israel an Ephraimite, Naphtalite, Rebuenite…etc, would not be called “Jews”. There were no such people in the ancient historical accounts of a people called “the Jewish people”, they were clearly invented as Shlomo Sand has expounded upon in his book “The Invention of the Jewish People”.

In the Old Testament the word “Jew” refers to those that descend from the tribe of Judah which is also shortened form of the Hebrew word Yehudi or translates to Judahite in English, also some Levites and tribe of Benjamin were only referred to as “Jews” of their inclusion becoming the House of Judah because they sided with tribe of Judah when the Northern and Southern kingdoms split after the death of Solomon.

In the New Testament the word “Jew” refers to residents of the area of Judea regardless of their ethnic origin which included at the time of Christ to include not only descendants of the House of Judah, but also Edomites, the Babylonian Sepharvaim, and Canaanites.

Today the word “Jew” refers to those that follow the religion of Judaism regardless of their ethnic origin, they generally do not descend from the ancient Israelites and to quote the 1980 Jewish Almanac “Strictly speaking it is incorrect to call an ancient Israelite a ‘Jew’ or to call a contemporary Jew an Israelite or a Hebrew.” Also in his writings Alfred M Lilenthal states: “When the word ‘Judaism’ was born, there was no longer a Hebrew-Israelite State. The people who embraced the creed of Judaism were already a mixture of many nations, races, and strains, and this diversification was rapidly growing…”

The problem today is incorrect usage of the word “Jew” to describe who descends from the ancient Israelites. If you want to know who the modern day descendants of the ancient Israelites are then read Genesis 48 & 49, the modern day peoples who descend from the ancient Israelites fulfill those descriptions written in Genesis 48 & 49, the they will also have national and family heraldry that fits those descriptions, in addition to 15 specific marks or aspects mentioned in the Old Testament scriptures. To quote Alfred M Lilienthal: “Here’s a paradox, a paradox, a most ingenious paradox: and anthropological fact, many Christians may have much more Hebrew-Israelite blood in their veins than most of their Jewish neighbors.”

  4. James says:

It’s understandable why the Egyptians would want to quell any notion that the Jewish people built the Pyramids due to political Islam and other political factors. THE TRUTH is that the Jews did not build all the Pyramids but THEY DID BUILD SOME OF THE PYRAMIDS during their captivity in Egypt.

Now all I need to know is was it the Egyptians or the Israelis who came up with the idea of facing mud bricks with granite or limestone.

    • Jake S says:

Complete nonsense, James. No one who studies ancient Egypt believe that Jews, or Hebrews, built the Pyramids. And there is no evidence of the Exodus. You are simply either a Jewish Supremacist unhappy with the fact that there were older and more advanced cultures, and/or assume that the Bible is a historically accurate document when it is not. See jesusneverexisted.com section on the myth of the exodus for a quick start.

And it is a Zionist movie.

  5. James says:

“Later, during the so-called Middle Kingdom, the royal tombs were smaller and made of millions of large, sun-dried mud-and-straw bricks. These bricks were faced with massive slabs of smooth granite to give the appearance of traditional stone pyramids. During this period, which lasted approximately 1660 to 1445 BC, the Israelites took up residence in Egypt (see1 Kings 6:1). Pharaoh, concerned that they might turn on the Egyptians, enslaved them at some point after the time of Joseph (Exodus 1:8).

The Bible tells us that during that period the Israelite slaves were forced to make mud bricks (Exodus 5:10-14). This detail is consistent with THE TYPE OF BRICK USED TO CONSTRUCT PYRAMIDS.”

    http://www.gotquestions.org/pyramids-Bible.html

    • bill says:

The great pyramid and its two counterparts were constructed from Granite, not mud bricks. The bible does not attribute the construction of the pyramids to the Jews. And if the Jews did build them, they did so far earlier than 2500BC, because those pyramids have been standing there since at least 8000BC and likely longer.

Geological surveys of the base of the sphinx prove water erosion, which proves the sphinx was around 12000 years ago, when there was enough water flowing in Egypt to have cause such erosion.

      • James says:

From what I can tell thus far… the older kingdom in which you are referring were constructed of solid granite but later on during the middle kingdom they got a little more sophisticated with their masonry and used mud bricks faced with granite. This particular link says it was faced with limestone.

“The pyramid’s core was constructed of granite blocks (Old Kingdom) or mud brick (Middle Kingdom), and faced with smooth white limestone.”

        http://www.art-and-archaeology.com/egypt/giza5.html

        *******

As far as the word “pyramid” goes… it really comes from the Greek and latin from around the 14th century (AD) so that is why one doesn’t see the word “pyramid” in the bible.

  6. James says:

    …and the Holocaust didn’t happen either… right?

    • Jake S. says:

What an idiotic false equivalency from a fellow who likely never heard of the Jewish massacresof Greek and Romans in Cyprus and Egypt and Libya at SCOFFIELD Bible schoolm

    • Vendicar Decarian says:

Which holocaust? The one committed by Americans against the American indian or the one committed by German Conservatives against the Jews and Gypsies?

      • James says:

The Nazi’s were Socialists or liberal…”NAtionalsoZIalist” . The Jews and Christians in Germany were mostly conservative. But to answer your question I was referring to the Jewish Holocaust.

      • Joe Bloggs says:

How about the one perpetrated by Rome against Carthage or by the Mongols upon conquering Persia. Or, for brevity, shall we constrain ourselves to the last three centuries? Human history is indeed cruel.

  7. I think it’s time we start showing Islam movies that tell the real story of the Muslim Brotherhood and the ISIS group and get that mess out of our schools. They have banned any reference to Christianity in the federally operated schools of our country BUT/AND are pushing the Islam religion in the same American schools. It’s fine with me as a Christian if the movies this company has made are not shown. I don’t go to see Hollywood people perform in the roles of the Holy Bible. Don’t give your money to Hollywood as it goes straight to Obama.
Only Mel Gibson has made a true Christian movie.

  8. Joe Bloggs says:

The comments written here make me weep for this country and perhaps for all of humanity. I hope that this is merely a heavily self-selected cross-section of humanity. Fingers crossed.

Regardless of whether you believe that the Bible depicts historical truth or whether it is merely mythology and regardless of whether you believe the movie accurately depicts the biblical Exodus story, the larger point here concerns the intolerance that led the Egyptian government to ban this movie. This is a primitive response to the movie — one initiated by a primitive society.

    • Vendicar Decarian says:

The commenters posting here are mostly from Tea Bagger Republicans directed here by a link on the Drudge Report.

      • Joe Bloggs says:

        Iron Maiden,
I’m not a liberal and I didn’t vote for Obama but, because I love freedom and believe that tolerance is a fundamental American ideal, I support the rights of my fellow Americans to commit sodomy within the privacy of their own homes, to use drugs if that is what they wish, to make medical decisions including the decision to abort a fetus and to end their lives with dignity when an illness becomes too much to bear. I think of Marxism as a repugnant ideology because it subjugates individuals to the state and constrains human freedom in the name of some ill-defined greater social good. If your ideology is to curtail freedom including some of the behaviors you mention, then your ideology is considerably more similar to Marxism than my own.

      • Iron Maiden says:

Blah blah ‘teabagger’ blah blah ‘I’m smart and Conservatives are dumb’ blah blah blah… says the idiot Liberal who voted for Obama, supports sodomy, drug use, abortion, euthanasia, Marxism, and demonstrates his/her own stupid ignorance in the comments section. If you’re so d@mned smart, why aren’t you running things instead of hanging around with us idiot Conservatives?

  9. jj says:

If the Bible is accurate, the Jews owe the Egyptians a lot of gold spoons their ancestors swiped when they took off.

What will follow will be a spectacularly stupid post from a tea-bagger that proves my point. I think it in advance for doing so.

    • Don’t worry it’s not a historical document.

      • Samuel Estudante says:

This is one of the silly sides of Islam. Because Moses was considered a orophet by both Christians and Jews it is an affront to Muslims? Or because Jewish slaves were forced to work long days until they dropped and died is denied because it is an affront to Islam? What happened to the Islam of major accomplishments both mathematics and science?

  10. pancake rachel corrie says:

is egypt going to ban the koran for historical inaccuracies?

  11. S BECKER says:

OK, SO IT WASN’T JEWISH SLAVES THAT BUILT THE PYRAMIDS, ACCORDING TO EGYPT. IT WAS BUILT BY SOME OTHER SLAVES, THEN? POINT IS,THEY USED SLAVES TO BUILD THESE TOMBS. BESIDES, IF IT WASN’T THE JEWISH SLAVES WHO BUILT THEM, THEN WHY DID MOSES HAVE TO LEAD THEM OUT OF EGYPT. COULDN’T THEY JUST HAVE LEFT, NOT BEING SLAVES AND ALL?

  12. truday says:

Just because I defend the Bibles account it does not make me a Zionist.. Besides I am not Jewish.. All I say is I believe the Bibles account that the Jews were held captive by the Egyptians for 400 years and God eventually delivered them and destroyed the entire Egyptian army along with their Pharaoh. How does someone find a reason to pick a fight with that statement?.. If so you are arguing with the Bible’s account.. If so you lose.

    • Ramses II says:

Actually, to accept that you’d have to wonder how they spent 400 years in Egypt and never saw the Pyramids. They aren’t mentioned once in the bible.

      • Strider says:

They are mentioned in the bible. You just did not notice it because the word that meant pyramid was migdol.

      • Vendicar Decarian says:

Wouldn’t it be a better idea to believe something that is true?

      • Snelson says:

The pyramids were built several thousand years before the Moslem religion was dreamt of. Who are they to say who did or did not build the pyramids? They were probably sun worshippers.

      • truday says:

Just because the Bible does not mention the Pyramids does not mean they did not exist. God may have simply decided they do not impress him enough to include them in his written word. What mattered was his people were enslaved and then saved the accomplishments of the enslaves has little bearing.

      • Juan Peinado says:

Is that really the basis of your argument and point of view? Flimsy doesn’t begin to describe it.

  13. Tumak says:

Too bad Egypt can’t be banned.

  14. Gwen says:

Give me the Ten Commandments version any day…campy and fun. Is that version banned as well?

  15. william says:

Palestine at the time of the “exodus”was a PROVINCE of Egypt.
The bible is referring to one particular male pharaoh, Tutankhamun. He is the son of the inventor of the first mono deity religion, Amenhotep IV, c1’300 BCE. Who forced his invention on the entire population on pain of death. He created a new priest class and an enforcer class to ensure his invention was being practiced and served. He was so detested he was forced to build a new city to live in for fear of assassination, and bankrupted Egypt in the process. When he died they fled for their lives for fear of the retribution. Egypt under his son Tutankhamun reverted back to their traditional beliefs.
The ‘chosen’ wandered the deserts of Saudi Arabia for a while and eventually turned up in Palestine c1,100 BCE, sporting tales of being the chosen of a mono deity and having to flee Egypt over religious persecution,.. sure, their persecution of traditional Egyptian beliefs. What are the odds… Perfect timing.

  16. Jonathan Simmons says:

Sadly for those of us who enjoy the study of ancient history, Hollywood is and has been WOEFULLY misinformed. I suppose that they consider their distortions and fabrications to be in the realm of “poetic license”; but, all too many people “learn their history” from films and TV….and are, thus, ignorant of the true historic growth of civilizations, etc. In this film, ONE of the misrepresentations IS that the Jewish slaves built the Pyramids. While exact dating is impossible, the consensus among archeologists is that the Pyramids were built 6,000 to 7,000 years ago! This, if you’re familiar with Jewish history at the most fundamental level, predates the earliest Jewish traditions. Were there Jews in ancient Egypt? Apparently there were. Were they slaves? Some were and some weren’t, but the dating is confused. There is even ONE school of thought in which Jewish tribes were CONQUERORS of the “Lower Kingdom” (Nile River delta region). Egypt’s history is probably the longest continual story of mankind, with only China as its rival. Just sayin’…..

    • Dave Mowers says:

So according to the Greeks the Great Pyramid aligned with Polaris as the North Pole Star in approximately 500 B.C. showing that it was built WITH THE INTENTION of aligning at a future date with the projected pole star.

According to Egyptian mythology there are seven sacred stars of the north, seven POLE STARS. These sacred stars are commonly understood to be the seven stars of the little bear, Ursa Minor, the Little Dipper, to the Greeks, the Sickle. That is incorrect. The “Seven Glorious Ones,” can only be pole stars; six at the north, one in the south. Thuban, Alpha Draconis, Vega, Polaris, Kochab, Gamma Cephei. The assumption should be that each pyramid is part of a system to map the pole stars therefore each one is built prior to alignment with the Great Pyramid being built 2,160 years before 500 B.C. and the next as much as 2,160 years before 2,660 B.C. with the smallest being built any time before that. Assuming the smallest was built during pole star alignment but after Menes, 3,200 B.C.-ish the next star was aligned by 2,500 B.C. at the latest making the reported builders of both the middle pyramid and Great pyramid the same as supposed now, historically.

The point of doing this, creating a pyramid for each star, is that you could then predict mathematically the Earth’s Wobble and from that, its circumference. Exactly something a sea-faring peoples would do just like the U.S. and British navies did.

  17. Inca says:

I normally would not suggesting following Egypt’s lead, but this is an exception. Boycott Exodus, because it is a Zionist propaganda film, seeking sympathy for the plight of the persecuted Jews when it is the plight of the Palestinians (persecuted by Israel) hat should be our focus in 2015.

  18. Litwin says:

So who within this film’s production team or financial supporters are Zionist Jews? That would be interesting to know. Zionist or not, this film reeked of self indulgence.

  19. wootendw says:

“And the Lord God smote the first-born children of Egypt, from the first-born of the Pharaoh to the first-born of the maid in the dungeon” – Exodus 12:29

Yeah, right. No one in reason believes everything in the Exodus.

  20. js says:

    guess who owns hollywood?

  21. Exodus is no more of a fable than Mohammad’s overnight flight to Jerusalem or his conversations with Allah. Perhaps the Koran should be banned?

    • Litwin says:

No one is proposing a ban of the bible, idiot reactionary. You ARE the mob.

      • Your momma phoned. Go home. says:

Actually, the Bible is banned in many Islamic countries, but thanks for playing. Go ahead and take a consolation lollipop on your way out the door, nitwit.

  22. The problem with anything produced by liberals, is that 99% of the time, it isn’t based on truth. A liberal will climb a tree to tell you a lie, when standing on the ground and telling the truth would be more interesting.

  23. Ramses II says:

The last time I remember reading about this issue, archeologist have never found a shred of physical evidence that the Jews were ever held captive in Egypt. Let alone for three or four hundred years. Of course that didn’t stop them from determining that homo sapiens originated/evolved in Africa based on 6 bone fragments.

    • Charlie Brown says:

      nice post!!!!!

    • pancake rachel corrie says:

archaeologist and historians have not found a shred of evidence that jesus existed and if they ever did…..who cares really?

      • Ramses II says:

Flavius Josephus, Tacitus and Pliny the Younger all referenced Jesus. While circumstances of his life are certainly debated, that he existed around the time in question cannot be reasonably doubted. But Jesus is beside the point of this article. This is about the building of the pyramids at Giza. While nobody knows when they were built, or by whom, scholarly estimates of when range range from 2500-8000 BC. Well before anything considered Jewish culture originated. Hebrews did not build the pyramids. Ancient Egyptians were essentially Persians, and they almost certainly built the pyramids.

      • William Hofmeister says:

Not true, most biblical historical scholars agree that Jesus existed. What he said and did may be in question, but not his existence.

      • ALAN SMITHEE says:

Actually…YOU’RE WRONG. I’m not a follower, but it even amazed me when the Israeli’s (for a SECOND TIME) announced finding the likely burial place of not just Jesus Christ but also Mary Magdeline within the last ten years. I recall how the established church simply ignored their claim-(for a second time). One would think if even a possibility of having found them the faithful to that religion would have flocked to find out. Funny how that worked.

    • There is evidence of Hebraic settlements in northern Egypt delta (Goshen). Any subsequent evidence of a slave rebellion would be destroyed by hundreds of years of resettlement in the land. Do your homework.

      • Ramses II says:

I was referring to evidence of Egypt holding Jews as captive slaves. Where can I find reference to that?

  24. In other news, the Sumerians ban the movie “Noah”. Geesh.

  25. cleo48 says:

If there is historical evidence that the Jews were held in captivity in Egypt for a period of time, chances are they built a couple of them. It seems to me that archeologists have already provided the answer. So… what’s does the historic evidence suggest? Ghod, what a fool tempest in a tea-pot.

  26. Geraldine Ferrari says:

Just because you take a myth and act it out with real people, it doesn’t turn it into history. Human brains seem to struggle with that, and manipulators have learned to exploit it for trillions. It’s like installing software into millions of brains so you can push the buttons later.

  27. truday says:

Do they deny their people held the Jews captive for 400 years?

  28. Sounds like Egypt has taken up Obama and Elizabeth Warren’s mantra “you didn’t build that”!

  29. truday says:

I wonder if the Egyptians of today acknowledge that one of their Pharaohs and their entire army was devoured in the red sea? Interesting to hear what they think of that.

  30. Argyle Socks says:

I’m guessing there are many inaccuracies in the movie, but the funny thing is, the Egyptians of today are a different people than the Egyptians of old. Their feigned defensiveness smells bad.

    • Dziri says:

The Egyptians of today are not really a different people than the ancient egyptians, their ancestors. In fact they differ fron their ancestors like you differ from yours.

  31. pancake rachel corrie says:

well I can tell you that jesus and mohammed didnt build them

  32. Norman West says:

    who cares what Egypt thinks!

  33. This movie Exodus is noting else than a syonist fabrication, They have all the money to make science fictions movies and the masses love it! they can have enough of the BS !
There is historical evidence that Moses was Ikhnaton, the pharaoh who decided to leave his capital and found a new one in the desert called Te Lamarna.

  34. Pecker Wood says:

The Jews were probably in charge of anything that required intelligence, though.

  35. marjorie white says:

Thanks to the Dead Sea proof of original scripture ,which Mohammed disputed, we know that prophets for two thousand years of records were forbidden to ride horses as beasts of war(unlike Mohammed whose horse was famous in battle who and went to Heaven with him,. They had to walk or ride don keys.Separation of church and state was influenced by David or any soldier forbidden to work on a temple although they were blessed when defending the people from harm.

  36. Buster Nutt says:

Every one knows that a guy named Eddie built the pyramids. :))))

  37. william says:

Why would downtrodden slaves “escape” to a PROVINCE of their Master? Palestine/Syria was all subject to Egypt at the time of the exodus. Those were the banished from power worshippers of ATEN that left the center of power for the FRINGE of the Empire, hoping to someday return to power.
    ———————————————————————
Moses was “raised” as an Egyptian Prince, because Moses WAS an Egyptian Prince. As a matter of FACT, the “Hebrews” are EGYPTIAN.
The Hebrews, the participants of the fabled Exodus, were EGYPTIAN refugee worshipers of ATEN, the MONOTHEISTIC Egyptian LIGHT God.
After Amenhotep IV aka Akenhaten elevated Aten to THE god of Egypt (THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME)
the priests of Amon and the lesser gods worked to undermine Aten. Upon the death of Pharoh Akenhaten, the “ONE” god, Aten, was
overthrown. The temples and all trace of Aten were pulled down and erased. The followers of Aten were persecuted and harrassed.
After some years of this, the followers of Aten made an “exodus” (a going out) from Egypt, to the COLONIES of Egypt in Palestine.
    NOTE:
Oddly enough, Egypt reached new heights of imperial splendour and prosperity during the New Kingdom (18th – 19th dynasties). Tutmosis III campaigned beyond the EUPHRATES and reached the Fourth Cataract on the Nile; Rameses II halted the advance of the Hittites in SYRIA, which means Egypt marched ALL OVER the so-called Israeli kingdom, because Egypt OWNED PALESTINE.
Jerusalem was ruled by New Kingdom Egypt from 1550-1440 BCE.
    ————————————————————————–
NOTE: It is not called a HOMECOMING or RETURN, as it would have been if the participants were SEMITES originally from Palestine.
They THEMSELVES termed it an EXODUS. [EX out of, from, and HODOS, way]
This is people who WERE Egyptian and LEFT, went OUT OF the center of Egypt to seek refuge at the edges of Egypt, but still under the umbrella of Egypt.

  41. ML Dixon says:

I was thinking the same thing as the egyptians when I saw the flick. Damn, the Jews didn’t build the pyramids nor did they live anywhere near them. I can see why the Egyptian government and people would be offended at the suggestion. Not zionist plot though. Just *hollywood* stupidity.

  44. anon says:

so why was a film made that around something science and history knows to be false?

    • david says:

It’s true ,the bible never says the mews built the pyramids .only that theyou were slaves. Truth is nobody knows who built them or how they built them. To this day the pyramids are a feat of engineering. We do know the great pyramid and the sphinx were made before the others and we’re at one time completely covered by water, pointing to the biblical flood. There are many pyramids in egypt, to think the Egyptians had slaves and didn’t use them for their labor forcenter is just silly.but let’s be real, if this was a teen mutant ninja turtle movie egypt wouldn’t care. Historical truth or fiction doesn’t matter to them. This is about a Christian film in a Muslim country showing the power of the Christian God over other gods .so much for Allah and the Christian God being one and the same. And so much for Islam being tolerant and loving towards others.

    • Alwyn Dixon says:

What a ridiculous question! Do you think Spiderman has been historically and scientifically proven? It comes from a comic just like religious movies do, just a different comic. Film-makers make movies for people’s entertainment and to make money. If you want to see movies based on “history” don’t expect them to be accurate – Braveheart is a fine example of historically inaccurate rubbish. If you object to movies that are historically inaccurate, don’t watch them, that’s a no-brainer!

  45. Rumplestiltskin says:

Archeological Research is proving that the bible is no more than a compiled bunch of writings by scribes, some who barely knew the principles years after the events supposedly happened and most done in allegorical form. Of course the Jews had nothing to do with building the Pyramids. I don’t believe the bible even implies that they did, but only that they were slaves making mud bricks with and without straw.

Those who buy into the biblical accounts of history need to get their heads out and wake the “H” up. it is time to put that idiotic book to rest and stop thumping upon it as the last word in humanity’s quest over the last several millennia.

HUMANITY NEEDS TO GROW UP AND SOON, BECAUSE OUR WORLD IS ABOUT TO EXPERIENCE HELL ON EARTH. Your bible and your sniveling beliefs will not save you from what is coming, and what is coming has nothing to do with your idiotic Gods of old.

Wake up people, our time is short, and when all “H” breaks loose your prayers and beliefs won’t save you !!!

    • pancake rachel corrie says:

can you post this archaeological evidence ?

    • And just how does my believing in God affect you? If what you say is true then we are all dead. If you are right then I died comforted by the belief that there is more, you just died scared and we are both dead. If I am right then I have moved on and only you are dead. Given the choice of a possible future and no future I choose the former. In either case it doesn’t affect you one bit what I believe. So if I “Wake Up” all I get is becoming afraid to die. Since there is only one way to prove which of us is right, I will leave that up to you.

  46. Dennis King says:

For those of you interested in more current Archaeological thinking on the subject:
Many modern archaeologists do indeed believe that most of the labor was supplied by farmers between growing seasons. That is the direct labor of stacking the stones onto one another. And yes, it was probably a labor (paid notwithstanding) of devotion to their dear leader. However, there is also some evidence that doing the ROUGH cutting in quarries may have well been done by various slaves (African, Jewish, as well as other more northern regions from other conquests – slavery was the NORM in those centuries), with the fine carving done by Egyptian craftsmen. So, did the Jews build the pyramids? Not really. However, did the Jews HELP to build the pyramids? That’s a fine point, but yes, to a degree. But so did black Africans…
However, also be careful in the use of the word “Egyptian” as the true lineage of the ancient Egyptians are mostly the very small minority of Coptic Christians of Egypt today (that’s the DNA data). Those that are left after the Muslim Brotherhood had a run at them. But a lot of Coptics have switched from Christianity to Islam over the centuries (and a much smaller number of Muslims to Christianity).
And while the period of pyramid building was over before Cleopatra VII (yes, there were six non-famous Cleos) was born, she reigned during the Roman period, so we are talking truly vast number of centuries.
So cherry picking which pyramid and which workers and when did the Jews arrive (and left) Egypt is just generating conflict to fit your own beliefs. And if your references said they built this city/town and that one doesn’t mean they didn’t also work on other projects. Slaves in the South mostly picked cotton according to most references, but they actually had just about every chore and labor project (clearing land or trees and stones, damming streams to create ponds, building barns/storage sheds) but what was recorded?

  47. Wow, movies based on a fairy tale book, and yet you want “historical accuracy”? LOLOL

lol, just what you want, a bunch of muslims determining what is a “historical inaccuracy”

  49. Zoddy says:

The Pyramids were neither built by Egyptian farmers or Egyptian slaves of any kind for any Pharaohs. They were built by humans from a small, yet global culture with advanced technology and science slaves or Pharaohs didn’t have that was lost in the great flood around 10,500 BC. The Sphinx was started even earlier than that. We should ban all history and start again. It would have an immediate affect on how our species is ruled by a small yet insidious global cabal that creates wars, economic collapses, and massive death just for the meeting their own needs.

  50. Berke Zane says:

Dubai is being built by workers that TECHNICALLY are not slaves, but look at that situation. The Princes will say their people BUILT Dubai, but it is really under-payed, mistreated ex-pats from India, Myanmar and wherever else they can find dirt poor laborers. So maybe the pyramids were built by any able body they could find. Many happened to be Jews. Many happened to be Egyptians. Many happened to be from all over the map. Slaves, forced labor, cheap labor, labor masquerading as religious offerings; so TECHNICALLY the Jews didn’t build them, it wasn’t their idea, so it wasn’t to their credit, right?
