LD Entertainment has acquired feature film and TV rights to Jowita Bydlowska’s memoir “Drunk Mom.”
The production-distribution company has not yet attached a director or writer.
Bydlowska’s book, published last year by Doubleday Canada, chronicles her return to alcoholism following the birth of her first child. The story includes her binges, blackouts, lies and humiliations as well as her fight toward recovery. Book is set for publication in the U.S. in May through Penguin.
LD Entertainment is headed by Mickey Liddell, a producer on “The Grey” and “In Secret.”
The deal was negotiated by Rena Zimmerman at Great North Artists, on behalf of Chris Bucci at Anne McDermid & Associates.
