Tom Rothman’s TriStar Productions has optioned the rights to the Jennifer Smith YA novel “Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between.”

Neither a producer or a writer has been attached at this time. The book was identified early by TriStar’s new literary VP Ryan Doherty and Nicole Brown will shepherd for TriStar.

Little Brown is publishing the book in September 2015.

Story follows two high school sweethearts who, on their last night before leaving for college, revisit the significant milestones in their relationship as they try to determine whether they will stay together.

Smith’s previous work, “The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight,” gave her a fanbase in YA circles. It followed a heroine who thinks she has found the perfect man at an airport after original flight is canceled.

She is repped by ICM Partners.
