Marks third major sale in past year for Schoenfeld

Chernin Entertainment has bought a Vikings pitch from scribe Nick Schoenfeld.

No distributor is on board yet but Fox is the likely suitor since Chernin has a first look deal there. Chernin will produce with Mike Larocca overseeing for the company.

Plot details are vague other than it will be set in England in 1066.

Vikings have been a popular subject matter with Warner Bros. and Working Title already developing projects of their own.

As for Schoenfeld, this marks another major sale for the up-and-coming scribe. Last year, he sold a Valkyries pitch to Thunder Road and an Attila the Hun origin story to WB. He is repped by ICM Partners, Management 360 and Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Adler & Feldman.
