TF1 International has added four titles from Spanish director Pedro Almodovar to its catalogue slate — “Broken Embraces,” “Bad Education” (pictured above), “Talk to Her” and “Volver.”
The titles are produced by film production company El Deseo, operated by Almodovar and brother Agustin Almodovar.
TF1 is also adding two Isabel Croixet films produced by El Deseo: “My Life Without Me” and “The Secret Life of Words.”
TF1 already handles international sales rights to four other Almodovar films, co-produced by Ciby 2000 — “High Heels,” “Kika,” “Flower of My Secret” and “Live Flesh.”
“We have a long lasting relationship with El Deseo which we value tremendously and we are delighted to strengthen it with these new amazing productions “ said TF1 International CEO Daniel Prejlocaj.
El Deseo is supervising a restoration of Almodovar films including “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown,” “Kika,” “Talk to Her” and “Volver,”along with production of exclusive material for home video editions.
